WORLD'S FASTEST BOAT BRINGS GREEN MESSAGE
TO AUSTRALIA

EARTHRACE, the fastest and greenest powerboat in the world, arrived in  Queensland  on Friday 12th December 2008 as part of a world wide tour to communicate the importance of biofuels in the fight against global warming. It will travel down the east coast of Australia then onto New Zealand. For Australian tour dates click here.

Earthrace is the NEW world record holder for a powerboat to circle the globe, was powered by 100% renewable energy, and had a net zero carbon footprint. The 24,000 nautical mile voyage which started in Sagunto Spain took 60 days, 23 hours and 49 minutes, and was completed on 100% renewable biodiesel fuel with a net zero carbon footprint.

Earthrace is a 24m (78ft) tri-hull wavepiercing Jet boat that has been designed and built specifically to break the record for a powerboat to circumnavigate the globe.  It is an advanced endurance vessel, capable of submarining up to 7m (23ft) underwater as it powers across oceans.  One journalist recently reported "Earthrace is like a rally car but for oceans, with her ability to handle rough seas and storm conditions at high speed".
